We are thinking of moving to the Edenton area and purchasing an old home. Is that a good idea???

Edenton is a beautiful town. It went through a really bad period several years back during the "little rascals day care" scandal. Put Edenton on the map in a very negative way. If I recall correctly the owner of a daycare was convicted of child sex abuse but later exonerated? Big national scandal.

That being said Edenton is a great old south town in a great location. Its proximity to the Hampton Roads metro areas as well as the Outer Banks give it a real boost.

It was a very sleepy laid back town years ago...not sure what it is like there now. I used to daydream about moving there when I was just out of college.

There are some really neat old houses there.
