MY BROTHER RETIRED ABOUT 7YRS AGO TO ELIZABETH CITY NC.HE WAS RETIRED FOR THE USCG 25YRS.HE WANTS MY FAMILY TO MOVE THERE.I WAS ONLY THERE 1 TIME LAST YEAR FOR ABOUT 4 DAYS.ITS SEEMS VERY CLOSE AND BEING BUILT-UP WITH HOUSING AND MALLS.LOSEING THE OPEN SPACE,AND LOTS OF PEOPLE.IS THIS FAIR TO SAY WITH MY SHORT TIME THERE,IS THERE SOMEONE WHO CAN SWAY ME IN A BETTER DIRECTION?THANKS

You could move just outside of Elizabeth City and be in the country.

It's small town USA, does well w/ outsiders r/t to the CG. This town has some crime, some drugs, some street walkers for a down side. Something know one mentioned when I interviewed here. The development seems to have slowed. The schools are marginal. There r plenty of water sports if you enjoy playing on the water. Plenty of seafood to eat, and great place to go fishing or crabing. The locals
