A law shool grad would be a prime target for a young Capt or Major.

Enlistedmen need not apply.

didn't consider that angle, and being an educated female among a sea of men you do have your pick of the litter.

but for that matter I'd recommend the dc metro area. plenty of entry level law positions, plus that's where they make the officers. You'll run into them all over adams morgan on any given night. Though in the dc area, there seems to be greater number of professional women to professional men of similar age and caliber. At least among those looking for a relationship.

WOW, someone sure did steer you wrong! Are you familiar with the term "military town"? As in, everything is based around the Marines. Forget any kind of symphonies, non-action movies, art galleries, etc. I certainly have respect for our troops, but what appeals to them on their time off is not my cup of tea. Who on earth told you that Jacksonville is like "Dawson's Creek"!

You owe it to yourself to visit some places before considering moving there! You would see in about 5 minutes that J'ville is not where the majority of promising young female law students would pick to start a life.

You might look more toward the Virginia Beach/Norfol area--those are cities, but there are small town up that way though there is also a Navy base (for those single men). Williamsburg and Richmond aren't too far away from there.

Many folks consider Jacksonville "the armpit of NC".

Yes, I was steered wrong - armpit huh? I guess the girl who pointed out the plethora of single men neglected to tell me I would be about 5 years too old for most of them. Also, the legal market seems like a good old boys network (all from acme law school). I will def. go visit - thanks for all the advice.
