I just saw a description of Edenton at "Find your spot.com" they described it as the best place ever. Any thoughts? Can I move my family of 5 from Southern California to this place? I am certan it looks WAY TOO GOOD to be true!

Subscribe to the local paper for a few months, personally visit Edenton for at least a week and see what you think. Many of the Internet sites are designed to promote places - I took that test btw, and noticed that they wanted a lot of my personal information. Since I wasn't up for the spam mail that was sure to follow, I didn't provide it, and therefore didn't get my test results from "Find your spot.com. S'okay, I can live without their test results just fine

I don't give a lot of credence to these kinds of Internet sites. If you really want to know if it's the place for you, it's going to take more than a website like Find your spot.com. Make the trek, spend the time, get to know the area, see what YOU think, up close and personal. Ask lots of questions. Look into job opportunities. Go visit the schools. If I may give you some unsolicited advice- avoid falling in love with a place that you've never even seen outside of an Internet promotion. I don't know the first thing about Edenton, but I do know that the reality of places ( anywhere, not just in NC) is often quite different than the way in which they may be presented on the www.

Best wishes in your ongoing search.
