I'd really like to get the training to help wash the oiled birds - does anyone offer it in the area? I live in Durham but thought posting here would be the best. Then I'd try to head to the gulf and perhaps back to coastal NC if needed - thanks.
Hi Morasmom. If you find out who is training people or what organizations are washing the birds, please post. I helped wash oiled birds (mostly Canada geese) at Tristate Bird Rescue a few years back. I had on-the-job training. It was very rewarding to see most of these birds released into the flight cages and then eventually into the wild. I'd love to help again.
