78's are my preference, mainly classical, opera and military music. I love finding recordings of the composers themselves playing or conducting, or people with close ties to the great composers. Seems hardly anyone wants 78's either. I have a lot of vinyl but they're nothing like the 78's...often from a wind up phonograph...

I don't know about that, but the 1925 and later (electrically recorded) records can sound good. I need to get a better 78 rpm turntable. I love Paul Whiteman records.
