I have a small collection of miniature liquor bottles - about 25, I guess - that I'd like to sell. Some of the bottles are rather unique. They date from the early '70s, so I guess that's not very old. But most are imports, and most still contain the original liquor with the seal intact. (One bottle has gold flakes inside the liquor itself.) I don't know what the legalities are for selling a mini bottle with the liquor inside, so I'm guessing I'll have to dump it.
Anyone have any advice on how to go about selling them? Are there collectors? Do I have to get any sort of special permission to sell them? Are they even worth anything?
You can sell them on ebay with the liquor in them. They're worth very little without. The ebay rules on these shouldn't present any problem. Search "miniature liquor" on ebay.

Will check it out. Thanks for the suggestion.

Personally, I'd enjoy them instead of selling them....
- that's something to consider. But hey, if they're more valuable with the liquor in them, I'll save the buzz for a different day.
Where you run into problems with selling these is ebay prohibits them, and on state transfer across state lines liquor laws. You also run into problems with federal laws with the USPS and mailing packages containing hazardous or flammable liquids. Basically you have to sell them locally.
Can't mail liquor USPS, I have mailed bottles of wine and liquor with FedEx or UPS.
Technically you can only "mail" a package or envelope through the US postal service. But "shipping" or "sending" are more generic terms.
I point this out because if you are involved in a transaction as either the buyer or the seller, you can greatly confuse the other party if you mention "mailing with Fedex or UPS" because you can't "mail" with any other delivery service except the US postal service.
I have a collection of about 1000 minis I started collecting in the late 1960s stopped around 2000. I want to sell most of them. I'm not sure how to go about it. I live in the Northwest and don't know of any clubs in the area. Any thoughts?
