Has anyone had any luck on Listia?

I've found that posting things for sale with free shipping, and making sure those things are flat, lightweight, envelope-sized items works really well. I got a good chunk of credits selling off 70's thru 90's trading cards, stickers of all types, entertainment themed bookmarks that big book retailers used to sell by their checkout counters, and single old coins from foreign countries. I've found myself filling boxes with things I can list. All flat things that I can send for the price of a postage stamp and envelope.

After gathering credits, I've had some nifty auction wins. I won a 6 pound batch of foreign coins, Stephen King's newest book on CD (unopened), an OtterBox iPhone case, and a 1977 Star Wars sticker I'd wanted since 4th grade.

Admittedly, a lot of the items offered are junk, but selling your castoffs for loads of credits allows you to win the big ticket items. From there, you can resell them on eBay, if you like.

Anyone here try and do well?

I loved listia. Managed to score some great items too. Honestly I haven't been on it for a little while- account is still valid and I have a couple thousand credits but I got tired of the fake auctions, and never receiving items. Is there still a ton of new posters making dummy auctions? I do miss it but not the headache.

I've seen junk auctions (recipes, vegetable seeds, rubber band jewelry supplies, etc.), but not that many dummy auctions. I've won auctions without receiving the items, but I've been fortunate enough to get back my credits. I've done less and less with the site, but it's a great place to get things in exchange for my spare items.

I started on Listia and earned a few points for the items I was selling. The point value 2 years ago was $1 per 1,000 points. Now you only get $7 for 100,000 points. Only the newbies are listing anything cheap. I have a million points, but most of the good items take even more points than that.
