I have an Art Deco one with a Vaseline glass base and Vaseline glass inserts on the twisted metal support role. The four separate glass ashtrays are green and yellow hobnail glass, two of each color.

WMF or Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik as it is known in Germany and why most folks just use the initials.

Near as I can tell, the 'fruit stand' is from around 1910-1918.

The glass bowl is beautiful in its own right.
I am a lousy photographer so my pictures don't do the piece any favors!

On the inside foot of the base are:

WMF

I/O - regular silver coating ... 1 gram of silver per 10 square cm of base metal.

as - antique silver finish
