hello...I am new to this forum. We have a huge bald face wasp nest and don't want to move it with us and are thinking of selling it. How does one know what to ask for a price? We are in Western Massachusetts, is there anyone close by that is interested in purchasing it??? thanks this nest measures 22-24"" long by 41" around and is on a 6 foot tree branch.

Hornetboy,

I'm new to the whole world of wasp and hornet nests, but I just recently came upon some in an antique shop i work for that are incredibly beautiful and caught my interest. I'm a sculptor and am very interested in incorporating these nests into my art. Do you have any knowledge on how they could be partially hollowed out without ruining the structure? I don't want to ruin the natural beauty of them, just make room for small bits of art to put on the inside.

Also, any tips on collecting them? I've read the method, just don't know how to find any : )>. I'm not looking for particularly large or unique ones, but i can't seem to find any retailer for just the average wasp nest (whooda thunkit) and i'm trying to get ahold of quite a few. Any tips?

Thanks much.

Default Nests

You have some pretty amazing nests! I am planning an art exhibition on the concept of home, and would like to include a nest as part of the installation. Where can I buy a real nest and do you have any idea of cost? Thank you!

I recently discovered a hornet nest on my property and was wondering if you would be interested in it. It is in perfect shape and is rather large.

I have been looking for a hive for my husband as a gift. Do you still have the one you posted awhile back? How much do you want for it, including shipping? Thanks for your reply.
