I just heard a rumor that Italy is considering leaving the EU for the Pac-10. Apparently the Pac-10 wants the Rome tv market that Italy has, and it is willing to offer a bid to San Marino to get them. However, they have reservations about offering an invitation to a theocracy like Vatican City which could be a sticking point. If this goes through do you realize the potential soccer teams and pasta making/eating teams the Pac-10 could field?

I concur. Texas and Oklahoma schools in Pac 10, spanning 3 time zones? Silly, but all about revenue.

Funny post...LOL. And I certainly agree that things have gotten out of hand. I can see adding a couple of teams to the major conferences perhaps, but this whole mega conference thing stretched out over 2000 miles is just crazy.

I n another thread there was a link to the Arkansas AD comments about it. He said you make more $$$ but you lose rivalries. Thats what makes college ball special.

Since Texas and A&M seem intent on moving, the SEC makes more sense than the Pac-10. I hate to see the Big 12 go by the wayside, almost as much as I hated seeing the SWC fall apart.
