Longhorns fan all the way here, but I'm learning to break that habit of picking my favorite team to always win... so in this game, OSU over Texas, 42-20.

Went about as expected.

I'm surprised the defense slowed the Cowboy offense down as much as they did. UT actually had a chance in the 4th to rally, but blew it a half yard short on a near td play that should've been reviewed (I thought he scored).

Anyway, lookin' forward to the easy win vs the University of Bye next weekend.

Ash still needs a lot of work, but for his first start he wasn't as bad as last week. The O-line is still terrible.

OSU wasn't that good, they will lose at least 2 games this season.

We left 21 points on the field due to the ineffectual offense. Possibly more.

Strap in for 2010 all over again. Maybe 6 losses instead of 7 if we are lucky. Then time for Mack to go. Sorry, was with him til Saturday but when he said losing was Ok he's done for me.

Yeah, you've said that a couple of times.

I'm just being a realist, perhaps a bit earlier than some. Mack has never been good about backing away from a poor decision. So there is no reason to believe he will now. You were looking at the rest of the season yesterday, and here is what it looks like:

40 passes for a total of 139 yards, 2 interceptions, 10 or more plays for negative yardage, and the backup QB doesn't get a single snap.

Rinse, repeat. That's our Mack. Hope he proves me wrong, but I'm not holding my breath.

Texas played better than expected. OSU played worse - especially seen by the WR drops. They never got their up tempo game going - and their 3rd down percentage was terrible. Texas played well in spurts, but the big run plays by OSU killed them. I still can't believe how badly the LBs played on those runs. On the 4th and 1, the Texas LBs played the blockers not the runner and no one closed the 6 ft wide gap for the RB to run through.

That was the story of the game.

Question. Where the heck is TE Grant?? Guess the living they did with him against UCLA was all that he is gonna get this season.

This guy is big, can run, and has HANDS!!! They didnt throw his way at all and I hope Harsen points it out to his qb's.

Areas of improvement: O-line, QB, Secondary

From the OU game to the OSU game it was a big improvement, however OSU is no way as good as OU. Texas showed they arent the team a season ago but have alot more to work on.

Mid season grade: D 4-2

Season goal: C- 7-5

Hook Em Horns!!

Texas will host 2-4, 0-3 Kansas next week and I think the Longhorns have this game. Final score: Texas 38, Kansas 17.
