Obscene score, but congrats to Bass&Catfish & the Sooners.

Yes, I heard the chants, and don't think much of them. Drinks & emotions don't make for a very good mix.

Mayfield was good, but just hand the Biletnikoff to Westbrook yesterday--definite first-rounder, maybe top ten. Mixon deserves major props as well, filling the shoes of Perine nicely.

'No limits:' Record-setting Texas Tech QB Patrick Mahomes still rising

Imagine what his numbers would look like if he wasn't hurried on nearly every down (a mediocre O-line would solve that) and didn't feel pressure to score TD's every drive (even a somewhat bad, but not terrible D could make enough stops to relieve pressure on Mahomes).

An H-word comes to mind if he had those luxuries. Graham Harrell, who is thought to be the best QB of the Leach era at Tech, had a top-notch OL and a somewhat good defense to work with in 2008 (in addition to the legendary receiver, a future NFL RB, etc.)...

Thank you for the congrats, my Friend.

Horrible defense on both sides marred an otherwise good and competitive game.

According to some Sooner posters on other sites, help is on the way for Oklahoma on D. Tech is hoping (desperately) that some LB's pull the trigger.

The OU fans that I met in Lubbock were very nice. Sadly (as has been the pattern lately), some in the younger Tech contingent felt the need to be like they were, similar to the TCU game last yr (let their emotions dictate their actions, which they probably felt bad about later).

One of two main reasons why Saturday's game was a (pleasant) shock:

Also, Tech committed one penalty for five yards, something not accomplished by the team since 1992:

Default vs. Texas, 11 CT, FS1

It's already senior day (first in nation?). Wish Malik Jenkins and Kris Williams had another year (sort of like Micah Awe last yr). Both had monster games last week. Others like Baylen Brown, Justis Nelson, Keenon Ward, Reggie Davis, Paul Banks, and Quinton White stuck through two HC's. Some played through 3 DC's and as many position coaches. Then there are the one-and-done guys, Ondre Pipkins and Luke Stice, who have provided great leadership in their limited time in Lubbock.

Hoping for a good, clean game with no injuries.

Default Texas 45, Tech 37

Congrats to ScoPro, ST99, BstYet2Be, and the Longhorns.

Going to be a long three games if the offense can't figure things out...
