As much as I dislike OSU, I flat out disagree. Do you follow recruiting? Oregon State gets mainly 2-3 star players and every year, they produce some solid athletes. Putting them into the same recruiting class as ND and Michigan is like comparing a Honda with BMWs and Mercedes. They normally have a good defensive line and Riley does seem to develop players. Not to mention Oregon State begins the year ranked somewhere between 20-25 and finishes about there. I actually think they tend to overachieve with the talent they get recruiting wise.
You're probably right. You would know the Oregon State program better than I.
I sometimes think they are underachievers because they are the only team that has had consistent success against USC the last 7 years but always seem to lose 3 or 4 other games.
You dont think theyve underachieved in the post season?
WV is the only one that comes to mind. You don't make it to BCS games by underachieving. There are many reasons for bowl game losses, underachieving is rarely the case.
Did Texas underachieve last year? No, they got beat by a great team.
Did OU underachieve the year before that? No, they got beat by a great team.
