... he's gonig to get injured running this much.... You can't win with a running QB....
VY at Texas...Vick at VT....Pat White at VW just to name a few, who were running QB's and their teams did have winning season every year they started. So you can win with a running qb. I mean Pryor at OSU is doing it as well but he doesnt run as much as the other 3 qbs up there. Running qbs in the NFL dont work but in college you best believe it can.
Lord no. I'm one of the biggest michigan fans there is, but he has no chance for success. He wont survive. His passing has improved over last year and the automatic interception, but he's gonig to get injured running this much.... You can't win with a running QB... Michigan went 4-0 last year with Forcier and you know what happened. Robinson is better, but watch what happens when we play big ten teams.. I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see this working, and it's not Michigan football.
Even though a mid-major, Colin Kaepernick for Nevada runs the ball as much as any running QB in the nation and he has stayed healthy throughout his whole career.
Not a very good team effort for Michigan. However Robinson did have a good game 10/14 passing for 241 yrds with 2 tds and 1 int. Rushing was a little harder to come by, but did post 17 carries to gain 104 yrds and 1 td. Im kinda sold on him as far as stat wise. Already in these early games has compiled 671 passing yards and 559 rushing. The one thing he needs to do to win this yrs Heisman is beat OSU. Which I dont see them-Michigan doin, but he will make the NYC trip if he beats Wisconson and or either Iowa or Penn St. Making a .500 out of four ranked teams is not bad considering this is his first major action.
Almost have way through season and here is his stats
1,009 Passing - 1,196 Rushing 15 TDs total. Will he be able to finish the home stretch above .500 with back to backs against MSU/Iowa and Wis/OSU? Good thing 3 of the games are at home.
Well, today certainly didn't help him. I think he can still get the trophy if he gets back on track for the rest of the season. And if not this year - perhaps next year or the year after that. I mean, the guy is only a sophomore!

I agree. Yesterday was a tough game, but I still wouldn't count him out yet.
How will Michigan stand against Iowa next week? I haven't seen Iowa play, but heard they crushed Penn State this weekend.

I'm not counting him out - but the poor guy has so much riding on his shoulders. Basically, our season rests solely on him. We have no defense so the only way we are going to win games is to rack up tons of points with our offense. And Drob - when he's on - can get it done all by himself. But when he has an off game - or a REALLY off game like yesterday - we just have no chance. That's a lot of pressure for a sophomore! We'll see how he does next week! Hopefully he can bounce back to his usual dynamic self!
Ok now Robinson is human not superman. But if Michigans d doesnt show up next week, Heisman hype will be on OSU's Pyor or Oregon's James imho. He can still have a wounderful Soph yr beating 2 of the the remaining 3 ranked foes he has to play. Still on top if i had a vote.
