Who has the best defense in college football? Alabama? Texas? TCU? Boise State? Oregon? Ohio State? Another Team?

They say defense wins championships...

Debate!

that is imposssible to really say compare to the pros. That is because college teams all have weaklneeses because they the cream at the top is all not on just a fewe tesms lus the skill lveel is much lower.besides even the oppontent skill level is different between different conference.Byt eh end of year a computer can rank teams by team combined records played which is as close as it gets.

After week 3 it would have to be TCU or BSU. That means that after week 3 having the best defense means jack ****. Sure UO looks good. Looking good against East Popcorn State is easy. Wait, they beat an SEC team on their own turf 48-13!! Just give them the trophy already.

Haha! According to SEC fans, even bottom feeders can beat up the Pac-10 though! We should get a trophy. However, I am not sold on our defense. I think we may struggle against a power running team. Shoot, I'm not even sold on our offense. We have played nobodies. But, you're wrong, we haven't played Popcorn State, we've played Cupcake Tech, Swiss Cheese College, and Soft Collard U. Get it right.

UNC is pretty loaded on D, except that half that star Defense is under investigation now, lol. If they're ever cleared by the end of the season, they should be pretty nasty all around.

We should learn a lot more about 'Bama this weekend when they play a decent offense, although they locked down Penn State pretty well.

Ohio State seems to do a good job at slowing down the pace of the other teams offense, and is very opportunistic if the other team makes a mistake.

Haven't seen a ton of other teams yet, plus it's still fairly early in the season.

Hard to say but I'd put Alabama right at the top of that list. Some of me wants to say Nebraska, because their D is stifling, but Idaho scored on them too.

Ohio State? Probably up there.

I would be inclined to say Oregon but Tennessee moved the ball on them a bit and Oregon's other games were against easier foes.

Hard to say with Boise State - we absolutely demolished Wyoming and held them to negative yards rushing but Virginia Tech moved the ball well in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.

I would say Boise State's run defense is up there with the best in the nation. Pass D, not so much.

TCU has a stout defense.

At this point I would say it's a tie between Alabama and TCU.
