I get that the guy is unlikeable. I get that the guy is running Thug U. I get that he quit on the university. I even get that they have lost 3 in a row and are overly emotional...but fire the guy? Seriously he has brought 2 titles in 4 years. That doubles the amount they've won in the last 100 years.
Does this make sense to anyone? All the guy does is win. I never knew Florida much cared about running a clean and family friendly, program.
Yeah, it's way too early to give up on a coach with his winning record. I know that 3 straight losses is tough but firing him at this point would be unwise IMO.
What a moron. Seriously, the guy just lost a ton of talent on his team including his Heisman Trophy winning quarterback and this doofus wants to fire him?
It would be sweet poetic justice if they did fire Urban and he want to an SEC rival (any of which would hire him in a heartbeat) and proceeded to make Florida his ***** for the next decade.
Sorry, but I agree. It's one thing to not bring home NC's but it's expected of a FL coach to win SEC titles. The play calling during the LSU game brought on some heavy booing in the Swamp.
Urban is a fine coach and person but if your not winning SEC titles...you won't last long in Gainesville, it's probably the hottest seat in college football and the proverbial "what have you done for me lately?" takes effect.
Lets see... in...
2009 they went 13-1 and won the sugar bowl
2008 they went 13-1 and won the national championship
2006 they went 13-1 and won the national championship
And they want to fire Urban Meyer?
Good idea! We'll take him as an offensive coordinator at Texas...
He would be unemployed for maybe 15 minutes. And I agree with Bosco55David, if he went to a competing SEC school? Well, here's my advice to Florida- You'll be Sorrryyyy!!
I seem to remember the Gators rise to a top tier program, happening in the late 80s, when Spurrier took over. It's not like they have a super long history as a top flight program.
They aren't Michigan, Alabama, USC, Ohio State, Nebraska, Notre Dame or Oklahama...they are Florida man....Floriduh.

Yeah, people seem to forget that all the Florida schools have only been relevant for the past few decades. I'm curious as to who this guy thinks would be a step up from Meyer?
Notre Dame may be quick to reconsider Brian Kelley as their future if Meyer is available, same for Michigan and Rich Rod. Either way, Meyer will fall ass-backwards into a huge pile of cash at a top program if he finds himself unemployed.

He's probably some Spurrier fan.
It's interesting to think of. The only 3 I think that are on Meyer's level:
Stoops
Saban
Tressel
It's also mind boggling why Les Miles is always on the hot seat.
Rich Rod is gross...give me Les Miles.
