As the #1 overall pick Luck could pull a John Elway, or Eli Manning and just tell a particular team "Don't draft me, I don't want to play for you".

As for the teams mentioned Washington is a mess. San Francisco can be turned around with a good GM and coaches. Arizona just needs a competent quarterback. The defense is decent and they have decent skill players on offense.

This alone is the biggest reason I can think of NOT to take Luck. Carolina needs players on both sides of the ball. If I can make a trade where I could get a first round AND a second and even a possible third or fourth round pick I'd do it in a minute. You'd literally be getting three players for the price of one and chances are the contracts of all three wouldn't be as big as the contract for the first overall pick in the draft which tends to be RIDICULOUSLY high.
The only problem with that is all the other teams want to have those multiple picks too and would not give them up very easily - I believe the Lions and Rams shopped the #1 pick around the last two years and got nowhere.

I did vote yes based on what a difference Bradford made for basically the same lousy Rams team of 2009 - but I freely admit it is a huge gamble at best.

I'd still shop the pick around if I was Carolina, they have absolutely nothing to lose by picking up the phone and making a few calls. As big a sucker as Daniel Snyder is for big name ball players and as bad as the Redskins need a new face on for the franchise a trade involving Donovan McNabb and a couple of picks might be worth asking about.

Luck is a pretty good QB prospect, and having a legitimate franchise quarterback is pretty much a prerequisite for being a consistent playoff team so with that in mind, it's hard to argue against taking him if he's there.

You're right - I forgot about the Snyder factor. That could definitely happen!

Luck in Arizona is a winning match, he has Larry Fitzgerald to pass it too. The Skins though, they are screwed for the next 5 years minimum
