Nothing Earth-shattering, I just thought this was an interesting list. The big surprise to me was South Carolina, not that it's so hard to believe, it just seems like their relative lack of on-field success would have them further down the list.

What will surprise you is the list of teams in order of total revenue...it shocked me that OU didn't make the top 10 and that two other Big 12 teams were ahead of it.

On that list, winning wasn't much of a factor - fan base was.

I was a little surprised to see South Carolina on that list, apparently they have a larger fan base than I thought.

OU was #10. Not too bad for a state with a measly 3.7 million people and 2 other FBS teams.

OU was 10 on this article. But I was recently reading one about revenue historically...it was like 19 - behind OSU and Kansas.

I'm suprised about SC also........would've thought Tennessee Vols would be ahead of them with the larger stadium (Neyland is the the 3 or 4th largest in the NCAA). I also googled top merchandise sales and the Vols were 12th while South Carolina was about 23rd.

Texas and Nebraska do have larger fan bases than ou. Check it, Nebraska has been selling out games since forever and everyone in Texas loves the Longhorns. Its ok to be 3rd.

Its impossible to get a horns ticket at home unless you have a student that give you his or hers really. Otherwise;I'd be there. When my nephew went the only time we could get tickets was for zRice or anther lessor game.
