That would be like New England and Atlanta playing in the Super Bowl..right now ... would you want that?
Sorry, no one cares. Repeating yourself won't change that.

As much as I would like to see a playoff, it will be tough to make it happen.

Time Constraints
  • Student Finals in mid-Dec with study time
  • Christmas holiday
  • NFL Playoffs - Colleges can't play during NFL timeslots
  • That gives about from Dec. 17 to Jan. 10 (for example) - and the January dates must miss the NFL times. With wild card Sat/Sun & divisional Sat/Sun, that leaves weeknights to play.
  • If a team advances all the way to the championship with a two or three game playoff - there is virtually no downtime for the kids during winter break - and oh yeah, they don't get paid.
Money
  • Do the winners get paid for each game? Does that mean they get paid 2x or 3x what other teams get? That would create an imbalance - and the good teams would get more money and have more resources to get much better than everyone else.
I'm just throwing some things out there to think about. It's easy to want a playoff, but in the end, it needs to work out for all participants.

Personally, I'd like to see that game.

But really, stop. The NFL has playoffs so you really don't have to worry about it. Saying 'what if' for the NFL means nothing.

Now there will be a playoff eventually, and I'm all for that. But dude, you gotta tone it down a bit. WE GET IT. We all do. No need to keep hammering it in.

So.....You'd you'd like to see that game over 4 great matchups this weekend, next weekend ...2 the weekend after that and then...the two best/hottest teams in the Super Bowl... OUCH... it gets uglier in here by the minute.

I want to see a Patriots/Falcons Super Bowl, but no where in there did I say I DIDN'T want to see the playoff matchups that lead up to it.

Don't put words on my posts...

TV numbers are DOWN. There are always enough alumni out there to fill a stadium.
