Ok I am sure SOMEONE here has heard about the 2 game PSU-Pitt series that's gonna happen in the future. Unfortunetly, it's still not a true rivalry again. Which is a shame because we need good ones in the north.

One other I'd like is UNC-USC, battle of Carolina (ioono, just seems cool).

But really the best one that would be a shot in the arm for two programs that really need it are Boston College vs. UConn. Honestly, it makes NO SENSE why these two aren't playing each other. Familarity breeds contempt and contempt breeds profit.

I miss PSU/Pitt PSU/WVU PSU/Miami and most of all the PSU/ND games all of which have been lost since the PSU entry into the Big Ten and the football Big East

Syracuse/Penn State.....Both programs are the top 2 in wins from the Northeast and had a nice rivalry for years and many people do not realize that Syracuse is 16th all time in wins in Division 1.

that was the first one i was thinking of.

for the record, USC has been trying to set that up since we left the ACC 42 years ago, and UNC is the one who lacks the interest in reviving that rivalry. We were supposed to play them last year, in fact, and they bailed on us at the last minute.

Penn State - Rutgers has potential to be an interesting one, as well as Ohio State - Cincy, or maybe West Virginia - Ohio State.

This really never seems to get much traction - Think a PSU Univ of MD might actually be more interesting - For the record PSU has played both MD and Rutgers in the last ten years I believe but by no means annually

on one hand, Penn State wouldn't want to "legitimize" its smaller rivals by treating them as equals.

on the other hand, Maryland and New Jersey are two of the best states for recruiting in the northeast, by far. I'm not sure if the extra exposure would benefit Penn State or not.
