I was watching college football live, and they were discussing their top 5 greatest college football finishes in the last 5 years. They ordered them as follows:
1. Boise vs. Oklahoma (Statue of Liberty) in 2007
2. Kentucky vs. LSU (Early Celebration) in 2002
3. Michigan State vs. Notre Dame (Little Giants-- fake punt) in 2010
4. USC vs. Notre Dame (Bush Push) in 2005
5. Iowa vs. LSU (Drew Tate first touchdown of year) in 2005
Runner Up: Texas vs. USC (V. Young in Rose Bowl) in 2005
So what would be your top 5 college football finishes in the last 10 years?
It's a good list and I think they got #1 right. Vince Young vs. USC definitely needs to move up a couple spots and I'd also put OSU/Miami on the list. Gotta give extra weight to the championship game.
As far as national implications go, Texas vs USC Rose Bowl should be #1.
The Texas Tech vs Texas also belongs on that list - and I say that as a Longhorn fan (ouch!).
Boise State vs OU - classic! lol
