I think Alabama recently is pretty tough, but I don't know if they have the heart to beat a nebraska. Sure they are much more talented, but it seems like even 20 years ago it was more about school and state pride for college players than about getting to the NFL. I don't know if as many players care any more.
Did you watch the game? handled them well? Kind of like a car crusher handles a VW Beetle? Florida was literally destroyed!!!!! If Osborne pulled a Spurrier, they would have dropped a cool 80 points without breaking a sweat. Gators had 2 big plays and the typical mercy td late in fourth quarter. I have never seen a title game so one sided, and many picked gators to win, ranting about how unreal the "old ball coaches" passing attack was.

Ohio State won in OT after Willis McGahee had his kneecap destroyed. I wouldn't call that a "whooping."

Also didn't Ohio State hugely benefit from a controversial call? Hardly a whooping.
