1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers easily

A better question would be

1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers or 2000 Oklahoma Sooners?

Not their fault, but it's hard to consider a team the greatest if they didn't have to play the #2 team for the national title, and it's even worse when that #2 team won the title the following year and came within a hair of winning two in a row.

Too many unanswered questions for that OU team to be considered in the same category.

01 Canes in a route. That defense shuts down the option.

I have to give Miami the advantage here. They had some of the best players money could buy and it's not like they had to worry about graduating.

I have no idea. But as a fan of the sport, I'd give my eyeteeth to see it played.

Miami struggled against a worse schedule than Nebraska played. BC and Va Tech.

Nebraska's closest game was by 14 points and it's second closest was 23.

Miami beat a Nebraska team that didn't even win it's division in the championship 37-14. Nebraska beat a Florida team that put together one of the best regular season resumes of all time 62-24. Nebraska won the championship against a Florida team that would of destroyed the '01 Huskers.

The Canes were by far the most superior team of all time. After all, they paid the best salaries of any college football team - EVER.

They are the scum of college football, right along with Penn State. Always were when they jumped onto the CFB scene, and will probably always be.

Good to see them wrangled off their cocaine and brought back to earth.

Give me a good Nebraska team any time. And I am an OU fan.

Under Coach Osborne, Nebraska and her fans were one of the best (if not THE best) CFB teams of all time.

It wasn't only their success at play, but they were a genuinely GOOD bunch of people and Nebraskans and the Husker Nation will ALWAYS hold a special place in this Sooner fan's heart because they are good, decent people.

I miss the OU/Nebraska rivalry immensely. It was a colossal mistake when the NCAA (Big XII) ended that rivalry.

That would be good to see. The "Game of the Century" Nebraska won. Maybe the game of the next century Oklahoma would come out on top?

I think that the 95 Canes team was better than Nebraska. Lets just flat out face facts here. The huskers had to literally triple team Warren Sapp the entire game and they still almost lost the game.
