*sigh*

And what will it do to the Big 12?

Maybe it was inevitable.

Yep, they are. And I, for one, am happy about it.

Actually it is Univ of TX that has led to the demise of the Big 12. It was furthered by Nebraska and Colorado leaving last year. A & M is only looking to put it out of it's misery.

I'm pretty sure the Aggies will go to the SEC. Many have said if this happens, and the BIG XII folds, Texas will go independent, though there is also rumor that Texas and Notre Dame are in talks about forming their "own conference" with BYU and some other schools. The entire landscape will change quickly if A&M (and another yet to be named ACC school) head to the SEC.

Key thing: No word from the SEC.

My guess nothing occurs. People tried to lump them in the Pac-10 talks last season. Look where that went. Nowhere.

Default Here's a blog that actually talks about this stuff LOGICALLY

FRANK THE TANK’S SLANT

Everyone should read this, it's not as simple as ESPN or most sites want you to think (in order to get internet site hits).

You can't solely blame UT for the Big 12's demise. Remember, A&M, OU, and OSU are also getting a disparately large piece of the revenue pie.

SEC will hold special expansion meeting on Sunday

ESPN is reporting A&M, FSU, Mizzou and Clemson to SEC is likely. FWIW.
