Texas being greedy really blew up in thier face and the Big 12 deserves whats happening, thats for damn sure. Traditions are nice but its money that talks nowdays, it sucks but thats how the modern world works.
Texas is obviously doing fine and its A&M who is hopig for more moeny in the SEC, But in the end unless they improve they will just be another also played as they have been in Big 12.I mean Texas last year surpoassed Notre Dame as the mostmoeny made in sports. That is why A&M wanted to leqave really;they could get it with their results.

I see. I was viewing on my phone at the time and I hate trying to maneuver (sp?) on there because it's limited.

So now I guess A&M's more or less in, but they think Baylor is holding things up? Weird.

I wasn't really surprised that A&M made this move, they really wanted to leave last year.

Baylor knows they are screwed if all this goes down and has to try anything to keep a spot at the big boy table.

A&M's decision to leave the Big 12 reeks of the same sour grapes as BYU's decision to go independent.
I'm not so sure about that...

A&M is competing for talent primarily with OU, UT, Tech, Arkansas and LSU. They lose a lot of that talent to OU and UT and a lot to second tier SEC programs. Moving into the SEC instantly upgrades their recruiting clout and greatly extends the geographic area that they can draw from and seriously compete with major SEC schools. Since the SEC essentially has numerous captive networks, they actually gain an edge over their old Big 12 rivals who they used to play second fiddle to in terms of TV exposure.

It's an excellent move for A&M. In the short term it's going to hurt and I'm sure they'll turn in some ugly records, but this is likely to revive the viability of the Aggies as a perennial contender in the long run. It isn't really sour grapes if it's the best move you can possibly make for the health of your athletic program.

They have still have 9. Not sure why Baylor is freaked.

Texas, Oklahoma, and gang turned down the Pac 10 last year. Do you really think anything changes on that front because a 3 team was pouched... I don't.
