I was at the Miami game on Saturday. The view from the top level of the new East Stadium addition is pretty damn good, but you can't hear the band.
Abdullah looked great, even Heisman-worthy. The offense had a couple of miscues, but overall had pretty good rhythm throughout. Defense was terrible. Miami pretty much moved the ball at will. It was good to see them force some turnovers though. They still need to figure out how to get some pressure on the QB, and stop simple garbage plays like WR screens. They got killed all night on those.
Miami is still a dirty, classless team. Good thing for them they had an ACC officiating crew out there covering their asses. The TV broadcast didn't do justice to how loud that stadium got after they overturned that INT and lost control of those fights. A cheap call and a bunch of cheap shots. This had to be the first time a team was booed off the field in Lincoln, and they earned it.
How does this loss affect the team? Wisconsin seems to be like the Huskers of my youth 60s-80s. Had to sting watching a rushing record get set against them. Is Pelini gone, or is he still a reconstruction in progress.
These blowout losses to Wisconsin make no sense. This is the same Badger team that lost to Northwestern earlier this year. That happens to be the same Northwestern team that Nebraska took to task. For me, it comes back to coaching and an inability to game plan and keep his player composed in big games on the road. This is a relatively unpopular opinion here in Nebraska but I think it's time for Pelini to go. I think he has taken this team as far as he is capable. He did some good work in wake of the Callahan years but if the goal is to take that next step, then I think it is time for a change.

That NW game was the first game back for their QB, Stave. He had a ton of turnovers. 4 I think. He has had one since. They're not the same team. They've also gotten some of their best defensive players back.
That's two straight for the Gophers over the Huskers! I thought the blocked FG would be the end...what a comeback.
There will be ugly talk over the hay bales about Pelinis future.
As there should be. The Huskers fired Frank Solich for a lot less than this. They're paying Pelini a lot of money to be mediocre and irrelevant every year.
The only difference between Pelini and a child is that after 7 years, the kid usually quits shÃttÃng the bed.

Bo's Record is 5-19 angst top 25 teams. 9 wins a year looks good on the surface, but there's more to it. Anyone can rack up 9 wins against weak competition.

I hope so. I never liked Pelini and his gigantic wad of bubble gum.
