The only BCS bowl that Virginia Tech has ever won is the 2009 Orange bowl, when they beat Cincinnati 20-7.

Kansas and Stanford both earned their first BCS bowl wins at the expense of Virginia Tech, and Kansas even won their first BCS bowl before Virginia Tech won their first. (Not bad for a basketball school.) Appearing in five BCS bowls and only winning one of them is the embodiment of an overrated football school, especially when they lose to schools that are not known for their football programs.
What does that have to do with poll ratings? Poster said we were "overrated."

Teams that are routinely beaten up by the power house programs like Kansas and Stanford do not deserve to be ranked.

What can I tell you.

At the end of the day, people don't remember all the games, they remember a teams record and ranking.

It's stupid I know, but VTHokie (nor any Hokie) deserves any blame for that in particular. It's the system that's stupid.

They do when they are one of two schools that were top 25 team who lost to a FCS i.e. I-AA squad. It's one of the reasons I remember who Michigan is. They are the team that App St took down. Just like how I will remember VT loss to JMU, a FCS team that finished 6-5 on that year.

.........and if Va Tech were a worthy BCS team they would not get dominated, yes dominated, by that Stanford team. I don't care how good Stanford is, you should not get beaten like a drum the way Va Tech was.

No argument here. Just wanted to point out that Stanford and Kansas are not the same. That said, I dont think VTech should have lost to either.

4th doesn't mean anything if you can't win your bowl.
