CSU Pueblo just beat the Colorado School of Mines or as I call them the gold diggers by 35 to 21 after trailing at half time 21 to 10. CSU Pueblo did that by shutting down the gold diggers in the second half as Pueblo scored 25 unanswered points. Pueblo remains undefeated with a record of 7 and 0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now the number 1 ranked Pittsburg State (Kansas) plays 7th ranked Northwest Missouri State at 3 pm MST today. When the game is over I will post the score because of Pittsburg loses Pueblo would be the number 1 ranked team in the nation.

Talking Colorado State-Pueblo No. 1

Its official! Colorado State University - Pueblo is the #1 football team in the nation!

This is from the Division 2 coaches' poll:

Seven ranked teams lost this past weekend, including previous No. 1 Pittsburg State (Kan.), causing a big shakeup in the AFCA Division II Coaches’ Top 25 Poll. Colorado State-Pueblo is the new No. 1 team this week. The Thunderwolves picked up 23 first-place votes after they beat Colorado School of Mines, 35-21, and moved their record to 7-0.

2012 American Football Coaches Association Division II Coaches’ Poll – October 15, 2012

To be honest this is awesome and kind of surreal to have the football team at my alma mater and home town university be the number 1 team in the nation and the best team in the state.

A little song to celebrate Pueblo being the number 1 team in the nation!

As I always say:

PUEBLO REPRESENTS!!!!!!!!!

Talking CSU-Pueblo has its first unanimous number-one ranking in school history

Today CSU Pueblo is ranked number 1 in the division 2 poll. This is the first time in school history that the university has been ranked number 1 in both division 2 polls. Also, this is the fifth time Pueblo has been ranked second or better and is a new RMAC record. Then on top of that its the 14th straight week they have been in the top 10, the second most in the RMAC, Chadron State boasts 20 such rankings from 2006 to 2008.

Now CSU Pueblo has two goals:

1) Keep the number 1 standing through the regular season

2) Win the national title on December 15th

Here is the poll today:

CSU Pueblo plays Black Hills State tomorrow night at 6. It should be a easy win for the Pack. I will be at the game and post a video Monday and the final score after the game.

Talking Pueblo's win over Black Hills state

Last weekends game in Pueblo was the pink out game in honer of breast cancer awareness sponsored by St. Mary Corwin Medical Center in Pueblo.

Here are a few pictures keeping with the pink out theme.

Now a fun video of some of the highlights:

CSU Pueblo also remained # 1 in the nation, 2 weeks in a row. This is from the Coaches' poll:

Colorado State-Pueblo held onto the No. 1 spot with 24 first-place votes, followed by Winston-Salem State (N.C.) at No. 2 with six first-place votes. New Haven (Conn.), Bloomsburg (Pa.), Northwest Missouri State and Ashland (Ohio) round out the top six.

The first round of regional rankings are out and as suspected CSU Pueblo is #1 in the super region 4. At the end of the season this will determine what seed the teams get and if Pueblo can maintain their number 1 slot they should have home field advantage in the playoffs!

GO PUEBLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
