Some bad news for the Pack. When I get more information I will post it here.

This is from the Chieftain:

The fourth-ranked Colorado State University-Pueblo football team received some bad news on Wednesday.

Senior offensive tackle Austin Payne’s knee injury is more serious than originally thought. His status for the season opener, or the season for that matter, is questionable.

“We got the MRI results and they weren’t good,” head football coach John Wristen said, not wanting to divulge specifics. “We’re still waiting for more medical evaluation.”

I think so too! Plus it will not be too hot as its only in the 80's now compared to the low 100's yesterday. Great football weather.

Finally, I found the thread.

SHSU was destroyed by Eastern Washington 56-25 in their opener. They play LSU this weekend and will likely enter the CSU-P game 1-2.

That means that they could enter the game demoralized ... or loaded for bear.

Talking Pueblo won

#3 Pueblo beat # 11 West Texas by a score of 35-6. Pueblo dominated both the offence and defense. Now I feel confedent about the season!

I am glad you found the thread....

I saw this earlier today but wanted to wait till Pueblo played tonight so I could get a feel about how good they are before I commented. Now that I have seen them I still know the advantage is to Sam Houston State but I do think Pueblo can win if they play their A game.

So #2 Grand Valley lost to Azusa Pacific 26 - 23 in double overtime. That means that Pueblo should move up to number 2 in the poll next week!

Looks like you sat quite close to my seats. I didn't expect such a blowout. It looks like they should be able to run the table again if they stay healthy. Playoffs are a different story with the scholarship discrepancy.

I did not either. Next weeks game in Texas will be hard and if Pueblo can win will really say something.
