The GA's dad and Sandusky were long time friends. I think that's why the GA called his dad first.
One thing is for sure, this thing is going to get alot worse, it always does.
IMO Joe Pa is in denial, that or he is actually a POS. His quotes and actions the past 24 hours are deplorable.

PSU football program should be suspended for the rest of the year
As a former NCAA student athlete I can not imagine the pressures and distractions that will accompany the PSU football program this weekend and rest of the season. In the eye of the public, no matter what they achieve or fail to achieve it will always be overshadowed by the tragic circumstances of this scandal. I think it would be wise of the AD to cancel PSU football for at least one year.
