You realize this happens all the time, right? Punishments from the NCAA are many times after the fact and the players and coaches that did the wrong thing are long gone.

Penn State has put more effort in to defending the Joe Paterno statue than they did over the last 14 years in defending kids getting molested.

No need to punish the current football players. What did they do?
Penn State benefited by hiding the black-eye that would have hurt their programs donations and recruitment.

They benefited by exempting their players from the normal student disciplinary process and hiding infractions.

It boils down to institutional control also in that CLEARLY the administration of the University was answering to the football program which is a huge huge red flag for the NCAA.

Bayless is an idiot and comentary writers are known to make controversial statements just for the ratings.

Yeah, I would have liked it if the janitors or McQueery had run in and beaten Sandusky to death right then and there. Then this whole ugly thing would have just come pouring out into the open as they could fire the janitors for reporting it but not if Sandusky were dead or in a coma...can't cover it up.

I love the paterno family saying that the Freeh report was garbage and that they'd launch thier own investigation.

Not since OJ proclaimed his search for the real killer have I this hard.

Penn St is full of bafones. Poor decision after poor decision, this just proves an education is not what its made out to be. We have prominent educators and university leaders literally making the dumbest decisions. Unbelieveable!!!
