University of Kansas (Basketball) $16,116,502... that's the 23rd best basketball revenue. and 2nd best in the Big 12 behind Texas of course.

Best in what? Money making? Revenue- sure, but if best means winning in all sports programs, that would go to Stanford- easily. Texas isn't even close and it has been that way since 1994. Just saying.

That's in large part to it's huge endowment and that it fields more teams than most other schools. Texas has had some top finishes.

Anyways, overlooking real hard core analysis, most will say SEC over Big XII. Just looking at when the Big XII was actually at XII and before all this conference craziness;

SEC has national champs in Florida, Alabama, LSU, Tennessee and Auburn.

Big XII has had Texas, Oklahoma and Nebraska.

No one cares about almosts, and no one cares about games that are not the National Championship, the press sure doesn't because the constant refrain is "you're a weak conference if you're not in the National Championship race".

More broadly, the SEC has probably seven teams that could potentially win one based on history and amenities. Big XII now has Texas and Oklahoma (can add OKST now too). I love Snyder but he doesn't get Red River talent and TCU/WVU are gonna have an adjustment period.
