Yeah, and then say bama beats lsu 9-6 in the title game, then Lsu wants a rubber match. Bama should be OUT.

Well Alabama already got their chance... Their statistics are worse than OSU's. They didn't even win their division. The idea that they deserve a shot at the title is as ridiculous as saying Southern Miss deserves a BCS bowl.

Would LSU beat OSU? Nobody knows. OSU's offense is leagues ahead of Alabama. LSU hasn't even faced an offense as good as OSU's... so nobody knows how many points OSU could put on LSU.

Also, the defenses in the SEC are over-rated. Does anyone dispute that OU had a great defense? Look how many points OSU put on OU's superior defense... Who can say they wouldn't do the same to LSU?

Gundy is right-- lets find out "how good the defense is in the SEC." OSU vs. LSU for the title.

I agree with OSU/Bama.
But LSU faced Oregon and destroyed them and Georgia with the SECs best QB, not to mention Trent Richardson for Bama. OSU wouldn't score more than 20pts against LSU.
How are SEC defenses over-rated? None of them are the same and every game LSU and Bama has proved their defenses, unlike every other team in the country..

Georgia Southern (FCS) put 21 points on Alabama
Crappy Troy put 28 points on Arkansas
Horrible New Mexico State put 16 points on Georgia.

Why does everyone think the Big 12 has worse defenses again?
The statistics and records prove that the SEC is over-rated in the defense category...

OU doesn't have a superior defense. If OU were the SEC its defense would be in the bottom half of the conference. Bama and LSU's defenses are #1 and #2 in the nation. OSU would have a hard time scoring 20 points on either defense.

Oregon put 27 points on LSU, Arkansas put 17 up, and VW put up 21. Is LSUs defense over-rated to you too?
Sounds like a case of conference jealousy.

For years, "purists" have said that the regular season means something in college football. If Alabama plays LSU, that point is destroyed. I am not arguing against the SEC--I am arguing that we have already been there, done that, and if you let LSU and Bama matchup again, it proves what anti-BCS people have said for years: The system sucks.

I know computers have something to do with determining 1 vs 2, but let's face it: The system is manipulated to whatever suits the moment. Right now, we are supposed to believe that LSU-Bama is the best matchup. Why should LSU have to best Alabama again? They beat Bama on their home turf--to have to play them again is absurd, and another reason why a playoff is needed.

Points given up by the Alabama defense

Kent State 14
Penn State 11
North Texas 0
Arkansas 14
Florida 14
Vandy 0
Ole Miss 7
Tennessee 6
LSU 9
Miss St 7?
Georgia St 21
Auburn 14

I don't think any Big 12 team can match those numbers.

If OS plays LSU, leave the fans at home. Don't need people there who don't know how to celebrate without nearly killing their fellow fans. If Alabama plays LSU, leave the cry babies home. Crying on national tv is embarrassing.
