Nobody said Chattanooga Mocs had more NFL players...they are 1-aa and can only give many less grant-in-aids. The point (obviously) is how universally despised the (knoxville) ut is. Not just by other SEC fans...but even by students and fans at other "ut system" schools right there in their own state.

Not sure what part of Tennessee you have been in... but many of my family & friends went to "other" UT system schools and they still LOVE UT... matter of fact, I dont know one single person from the state who doesnt. So this is just ridiculous to suggest people in Tennessee hate UT... They may love their school, but they dont HATE Tennessee.

I have lived in both Davidson and Rutherford County and worked in Williamson County and personally know a large number of residents of the state of TN who can't stand the viles. I also have firsthand knowledge that lots of people at utc can't stand "knoxville" as they call it...as already stated.

After the viles finished with a losing record last season, the Walgreen at Corcord Rd. (near Davidson/Williamson line) tried to sell ut shirts at 3-for-$10 and nobody bought any. That display was eventually replaced with Ravenwood High School shirts that at least sell a bit now and then.

Every last person in the state of TN loves the viles? B S

I think you are mistaken... not loving for hate.

No mistake. They sold ZERO ut shirts at 3-for-$10 after the viles lost in the Music City Bowl to finish with a losing record. Fact.

Look at the Vandy forum (scout.com) and see all the South Carolina fans who were bummed Vandy got robbed by the refs in knox-vile. Even South Carolina fans...not an original SEC member - can't stand the little orange.
