So I fail to see how A&M's weak status in a weaker conference will improve in a tougher conference in the long run, especially with recruiting as the SEC schools will undoubtedly take Texas recruits away from the aggys.

A&M was suckered & used by the SEC, and aggys are too dumb to see it (at least in football). Good job by Slive.

However, A&M brings some strong programs in the lesser mens sports, chickball, polo, archery, and meat judging.

You are welcome to those cultists.
Meat judging, LMAO! Man I understand where you coming from but I have to disagree about the SEC using them! I think the move is great for the SEC and Texas A&M! As far recruiting goes, I think for years to come they will get to that powerhouse status, but its not going to happen overnight! They have a good class coming in and probaly an even better one in 13! Yeah the recruiting will be a challenge but I think they will just as good of talent Texas get if not BETTER, and as the SEC, (LSU, Arky, Mizzou,) for sure! Miss State, Ole Miss, and Auburn maybe! Those could be the teams for the recruiting battle with them!

Well, you can be optimistic if you like, I ain't got a dawg in that hunt any more.

Most Texas fans are glad to be rid of them, so they're your embarassment now.

Good luck with 'em.

Yeah that SEC West is brutal, the east is tough too though! I think with the years to come, A&M will be getting recruits just as good as Texas, but they getting them type of recruits now!

I'm a Gator fan, but when it comes to the SEC, i try to be fair when I'm discussing the teams!

The top teams tend to rotate ever so often so A&M might be able to take an opportunity to advance if some of the current powers hit a dry spell.

I'm less optimistic about Missouri, for no particular reason.
Yeap you have a strong point man!

Chihuahua poo?

But As I mentioned before, the Big 12 upgraded with TCU & WV.

Mizzou & A$M did nothing except expand your TV market a bit. Neither school is a big draw in the ratings, however.
