OK, though the major bowls are sponsored, they're still known by their original name; Rose, Orange, Sugar, and Peach for example. If you could rename the lesser bowls, what would you name them? I don't know enough about the cities or cultures of most of the bowl cities to make an attempt at all of them.

For the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl I'd go with the Gumbo Bowl.
For the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl I'd go with the Poi or Pineapple Bowl.

The one sponsored bowl name I like is the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. It actually sounds like a new flavor of Tostitos and the sponsor matches the bowl name. Getting sponsors like this could be embarrassing. Imagine the "Fruit of the Loom Cotton Bowl" or the "Fight Diabetes Sugar Bowl". The Minute Maid Orange Bowl seems like a no brainer. Another no brainer is the Rose bowl presented by Vizio. How about the Rose bowl presented by FTD Florist?

Personally, I'd be happy with about 6 or so bowl games. A play off system would be a dream but will probably never happen.

That's funny.

I'd put anything Texas A&M plays in as the "Illegal Immigration Bowl " because like Illegal Immigrants, who should not be here, A&M has NO RIGHT to be in a BOWL either !!! They are playing a game where they should not be.
My kid asked which day they are playing the "Salad Bowl" I always thought there should be a "Toilet Bowl" It could be sponsored by Ex-Lax.....
At least they renamed the "Humanitarian Bowl" into the Potato Bowl . I never could figure out what was so "Humanitarian" about making the fans sit outside in a stadium for three and a half hours in the freezing cold of Boise stareing at a Blue Carpeted field. (No offense, I like Idaho, Boise and the school) Just saying

The New Mexico Bowl should be sponsored by the US Marshalls Office. Anyone who has spent the night in a Hotel in New Mexico with a .357 Magnum next to them knows what I mean about New Mexico being the Rif-Raff capital of the country. Maybe it could be called the Smith and Wesson New Mexico Bowl....

I'll refrain from any Penn State Jokes at this time. They are playing Houston which will probably be a good game. It is called the "Ticket City" Bowl....AKA The SCALPERS BOWL. Another name sure to offend native Americans to the north of west of Texas....

Finally, the Sun Bowl, which would be a great place in El Paso for the Above mentioned "Illegal Immigrant Bowl", a city that has seen it's share of crime increase along with it's sister city to the South, Jaurez, could have mucho potentiales for sick twisted humor, but since I am still trying to keep the fat man at the North Pole impressed for another week, I'll stop.

I'd get rid of some bowls before renaming them.
