Painful loss for LSU.

There are some good take-aways, though. LSU won the battle of the lines, and the good news is, they're really young and they're only going to get better. The bad news is, their coaching isn't going to maximize that talent.

Don't get me wrong, Les Miles is successful - we know that. But his and Cam Cameron's overly conservative play-calling are going to screw the Tigers out of at least a game or two every year. I wish Miles would do what Saban's done and just turn over the offense to a real guru (not a "game manager") and let him coach. Maybe Miles could go out and get a Sarkisian clone.

No way for two SEC West teams to get in but what if Miss St loses to Bama then Bama goes to SEC championship and the Bulldogs are sitting there with just one loss too?

A two loss Bama cannot go final 4 against a one loss tcu or Baylor or Oregon or Luckeyes... right?

What about poor Marshall? Not even a top 25?

FSU looks like they ain't giving up a spot.
At this point, it looks like only 1 SEC team will be getting a playoff spot. Auburn just took their second loss. Miss State has to beat Bama on the road and also Ole Miss on the road before a potential SEC Title game against an SEC East team. That's a tough slate. Right now my money would be on Alabama getting the spot given they get Miss State at home and then a home Iron Bowl.

... or a two loss SEC W team is > a non SEC W team with just one loss and two get in.

You're not going to see an SEC West team with 2 losses getting in ahead of another team that has one loss and also won its conference. Teams like Oregon, or TCU, or Ohio State would all deserve a playoff spot, assuming they all win out and win their respective conferences, over a 2 loss SEC team that does not win the conference.

The problem for Bama is to stay "up" for three games. Then can get up for Miss St and Auburn but I'm not shore the horseshoe has completely been dislodged from Auburn just yet. I really think they can beat State in a tough game but it will take a lot out of them and the cupcake wont help either way.

The SEC championship will be rendered almost meaningless. Bama just cant lose it but nothing to gain by that point.

Not Ohio. They have a weak non conference schedule, and an embarassing home loss against a bad Virginia Tech team. Nebraska winning out is the B1G's only hope.

Yeah, like maybe if they had a quarterback! This might suck right here. Miss St is disappointing me so far.

The West blew it tonight and so did Miami.

Looks like a Bama-Fla St final and I hope they both lose.

Really disappointed in Miss St and the Ewe.

after last night its 4 from 5. Oregon by virtue of not playing probably at 1. Bama up to 2, Miss St down to 3 and FSU dropping to 4 due to a poor win...same for TCU 4 to 5 ??

interesting wait this week, as the committee have shown even 'bad' wins will be taken into account
