As determined by Yahoo user ratings?

Anyone who is generally shocked that there were low ratings (even throwing in the fact that it's on cable, now) has their head in the sand.

Change is inevitable....

That's one slanted article... sure they were down but so was all the BCS games. it's because they were on cable not because people didnt wanna watch.

BCS: No Record Low, But Alabama/LSU Lowest Rated Title Game Since ’05 | Sports Media Watch

The game ranks as the second-most viewed program in cable television history, behind only Auburn/Oregon last year. Three of the five most-viewed programs in cable history have been Bowl Championship Series telecasts on ESPN.

No one's talking about that huh?

Except last year's BCSNCG was also on ESPN and is the highest rated BCSNCG.

Logic fail.

Serves them right for trying to force ordinary people to pay for sports that we all used to watch on TV for no additional charge. I know that most people have cable right now, but that's not the point; it's the principle of the whole thing. Everything now in modern U.S. sports is about hyping sh*t up and making people pay twice as much for a product that's not twice as good. I can't blame people for saying screw it.

Well, that was because the Auburn Tigers were playing. The entire country was watching in rapt amazement at what was the epoch-shattering beauty of that team and its epic march to glory. Women swooned. Angels wept. Hardened criminals resolved to become better people. For a few transcendent hours, all conflict in the world came to a halt as the Tigers held a mirror up to the world and showed to 7,000,000,000 people a shining example of what they could become.

It has even come to light that Kim il Jong's deathbed wish was that, despite his nukes, bling, Lincoln Continentals, and 20,000 DVD movie library, his great crushing regret is that he never got to meet Cam Newton. He muttered, "아, 그 고귀한 쿼터의 놀라운 얼굴에 누워 눈을 가진 사람" and then gave up the ghost, disappointed that this final wish was denied him.
