The author Adam Kramer doesn't know what he's talking about. He's just regurgitating the debunked aggy line about the evile Longhorn Network being the cause of their departure. Very poor and lazy "journalism".

Yes, the real reason is A&M has always had a chip on ots shoulder and a napolean complex when it comes to ut, which is a much better school in sports and academics.

There is hardly a difference between the two in reality. Both have stellar programs and are regarded as good schools. Sports wise, UT dominates generally, but academics is really a wash.

UT and A&M are nearly equal in all ratings. It depends on the program you graduate from. Any rational UT graduate (emphasis on graduate- because I have found few simple UT, heck any college, fans really know about the academic side).

Let me ask my wife here what she thinks about her brother's education from A&M. She's an English graduate from UT-Austin. Well, it appears he got a good education from College Station. He works for Google and lo' and behold, he graduated with a degree in Computer Engineering. Last time I spoke with him at our baby shower he mentioned he had been accepted at MIT, Cal Tech, etc, but, "the guys he met there were geeks!"

Oh, and I live in Austin now, and I hear most rational fans say the same thing I have. Just saying.

I never said A&M was a bad school...

I even stated they were a good school. And you are right they have some better programs. However, UT is a better overall school. Dont take this as an insult since UT is a very good school.

Also, UT is not the school that is always holding some grudge. I went to neither, so im a neutral observer, but I never met anyone from UT who cared about A&M, while I have met people from A&M who could not shut up about UT. Im seen politicians who went to A&M complain about UT too.

Man, I can careless about UT and A&M. I'm an Oregon graduate. However, my wife and brother-n-law are UT and A&M grads respectively. I am correcting your statement that UT was a "much better school." They are about the same- with both excelling in different fields. Try not to pretend you know much about the schools simply from US News and other publications and what a few UT fans told you.

UT is better in sports at this time...shoot, IMO Oregon is better than both at this time...so I'm not trying to defend either school, just correcting inaccurate statements.

I dont really know about Oregon, so I cant comment there.

I also dont see what your wife and brother in law have to do with this conversation. So what having family who went to both schools automatically makes your opinion right because it makes you an expert? Try not to pretend you know much about the schools simple from what your wife and brother in law and NOTHING else.

Look. As long as we can just all agree that the state of Texas sucks (with the exception of Austin), cant we all just get along.
