How does talk about Georgia Tech equal obsession with Notre Dame?

UConn and Cincy are probably waiting on their possible invitations as they are the next 2 in line for the ACC.
I've seen plenty of sources refuting the idea of Virginia moving to the Big Ten.

Why? The Big Ten hasn't had Ten teams since 1993. It's history.
Big East is not long for this world... And to think, in 2010 they had the opportunity to become a massively successful, long lasting conference if they had made the right moves.
Imagine if they just pitched the idea to Notre Dame that they pick any 3 schools to join along with themselves and layout the divisions (and 1 cross divisional protected rivalry) however they like. They could have a team in the National Championship game, no defections to the ACC or elsewhere, and a very lucrative TV contract, but instead they went with "New TV Markets" method and shot themselves in the foot with western expansion.
Surely Boston College would have considered re-joining the BigEast if Notre Dame where calling, so I imagine they could have had:
ND, Pitt, Navy, Army, Cuse, Cincy
BC, WV, USF, Rutgers, Uconn, Louisville
Where the teams have 1 protected rivalry game against the one right above/below them. (I know USF-Navy is odd, but thats the only one that is)
ACC would add UCF
BigXII would replace Mizz and TxA&M with TCU and maybe someone from C-USA, and the whole thing would be done right there probably.

Notre Dame has zero interest in joining a conference. None. And if they did the Big East would be the last one they would look at.
BC would never leave the ACC for the BE. That's like trading in an Escalade for a Pinto.

ND always joins the weakest conference as a semi-member because it can use its power to gain independence. ND did not join the ACC because they want a pathway to permanent membership. They realize the BE might end as a football conference so they joined the next weakest conference that will still get them into the BCS, which is the ACC. The ACC is desperate right now and would happily bend over and let ND have their way with them year after year.

They joined the ACC because they need a place to park olympic sports and they need a couple football games to fill out the schedule at the end of the season. Which is difficult for an independent.
Notre Dame has been playing the best teams in the country for the past 100 years. They've always had harder schedules than most every other BCS team.
To suggest they joined the ACC for an easy schedule is nonsense.
And they have no desire for full football membership in any conference. If they wanted that they could have their pick. B1G, Big 12, PAC, ACC or SEC. Everyone of those conferences would kill to have ND as a member.

Syracuse also is joining the ACC and they just took West Virginia out to the snowshed and beat them with a shovel. 38-14. LOL West Virginia is joke. They should join the MAC since they are terrible.

You mean the conference that has two teams in the top 25 for BCS rankings and six teams in bowl games including a BCS bowl?
West Virginia is also a good team, they will bounce back nest season.

How do you figure? They have the one of the worst defenses in the country. Stedman Bailey declared early. Geno Smith is gone. Tavon Austin is gone. There just went all the offense. So again... how will they bounce back... I see them even worst, which is hard to imagine since they were so bad this season.
As for the MAC, they are currently 2-3 in bowls. Two of the losses were complete blowouts. Only one team gets to play AQ and they are a 13.5 underdog.

West Virginia is in the same position that countless other teams have gone through in the past and continued to do well the following season.
Northern Illinois, the team that actually had to do well to make it into a BCS bowl this year unlike every other team in the BCS that could have walked in with a crappy record. The Pac 12 is also 2-3 in bowl games, they must be bad this year then.

They didn't do well this season with a seasoned offense. Again, they will be even worse next year with an all new offense and struggling defense.

Did well by beating weak midmajors, struggled against Kansas (the second worst of all AQ teams), and lost to Iowa (came from a weak Big 10 conference; not bowling)... As for the Pac 12, they played teams that are actually good teams. Boise State is considered the King of Midmajors (track record of beating good AQ teams) and Texas/Baylor are AQ. The MAC has not played AQ this bowl season. They are playing some other weak midmajor conference teams. The ones that were worth it smacked the crap out of them i.e. UCF, Utah St.
