Meh, I don't think it came down to a lack of desire. I think Bama strongly desired to take their frustrations out on Oklahoma, and on the opening drive, it certainly looked like things were pointing toward another Alabama victory. You really can't say Alabama didn't come out with intensity - they clearly did. If there's one thing you could say, maybe they didn't think Oklahoma would be able to punch back. They might have underestimated OU's ability - and that falls on the coaching staff even more than the players. I never ever thought I'd say something like this, but Bob and Mike Stoops out-coached Nick Saban.

What next - Les Miles out-coaches Nick Saban? I could only wish, lol!

Thanks T-Tech Dave! You're always a class act on here. I appreciate it as does Sooner Nation.

Tech had it an impressive win as well.

Now some of the Texas fans are saying, "Why would we want Saban if he can't beat OU?" lmao

But hey, what's with the soonerfans doing the upside down Hook'em at the non-Texas games? Scoreboard, dudes!

Thanks for the classy post, Bham.

It was a great game against two of college football's most storied programs. Here's to a continued respectable rivalry and good will in the future between the Sooners and Tide.
