Watching a game I mentioned that the on field female broadcasters were an “eye candy” part of the broadcast and my wife is now not talking to me. Thoughts?

OK, remember this: "Just because you think it, does not mean you have to say it".

I understand what you're getting at, but I'm not sure I'd describe Pam Oliver as eye candy.
But I will say it's apparent the networks look (disproportionately) for women to do the sideline reporting now.. there is a consistent trend that football sideline reporting has largely been assigned to women.. probably for the last 20 years(?)
I remember back in the day when they had guys like Irv Cross & Paul Maguire on the sidelines.. definitely not eye candy.

Don't forget, they also had Phyllis George, a former Miss America I believe. She was hired entirely for her football knowledge. Truthfully, she didn't try to get into football details too much. She was good at what she DID do. More special interest stuff.

Whether or not your comment is correct, what the hell were you thinking? Who says that with their wife around?

There have been times when my wife has pointed out a lovely young lady to me that she thinks I might have missed, but there is no way I would do the same, because I would get flack for noticing. In fact we I remember once passing two scantily clad young ladies walking along the side of a lake, and she said "I see you looking in the side mirror!"
