You can count Atlanta out of the semi-bowls...

The city will be bidding on the Natty game.

I agree. But what about the Champions Bowl? Is it going to be separate from the Cotton Bowl? Or will the Cotton bowl change its name to the Champions Bowl? I'm sure that there will be one BCS bowl played in Arlington Texas but I'm not sure what they are going to call it.

It actually should only be a four bowl rotation for the two "semi-final" games and they should be Rose, Fiesta, Sugar and Orange. Then the championship game will not be a bowl game, thus will be a roving game that can be played anywhere just like the Super Bowl is a roving game.

When the Rose is not part of the playoff system, they can revert back to the Big 10 or 12/Pac 12 format.

IMO, the Cotton Bowl will happen every year and will be the top team from the SEC and Big12 that are not in the National top 4. When/if Arlington hosts the Semi's, the game will be called something else and will be separate from the Cotton Bowl.
