South Carolina and Florida beat the top two teams in the ACC on the road, Florida State and Clemson. Georgia Tech is playing in the ACC title game and UGA beat them to a pulp. One half of the SEC took another conference best shot. No other conference can compete, the rankings are legit. The winner of the SECCG will win the BCS. Write it down.

Another great "SEC is the greatest conference ever" thread. Would read again.

Betting against the ACC in a BCS bowl is just the smart thing to do. They have a dismal BCS record. I would by default assume the ACC would loose a BCS game, even if it was against the Mountain West or the MAC, much more so against the SEC.

This isn't really breaking news though either. No one respects ACC football.

Easy money this postseason to buy your fiance, wife, girlfriend a nice present: bet against EVERY ACC team this post season. I don't care if Clemson is matched up against San Jose State in the who cares bowl, bet SJSU. The ACC just cannot beat any half decent teams this year. I mean VT was terrible this year, but they lost to Pittsburgh who opened the season with a double digit loss to Youngstown state, that's just awful.

The SEC is still good, but the ACC is just really, really bad. That's the story.

And not only is the ACC really, really bad, they're also really, really shameless. GT wants in a bowl game even if they finish 6-7, which is beyond pathetic. Might be time for the ACC to dissolve and become a basketball-only conference.

Don't blame G Tech. Blame the NCAA system which allows a team to qualify for a bowl game after winning only 6 games. NCAA is all about money and having 30 plus bowl games allows them to maximize their profits. When you have 70 teams playing in a bowl game this season, there's bound to be several teams that don't really deserve a shot.

How much better is the SEC East over the ACC this playoff season? Georgia already stomped a mud hole on Clemson's face with hob nail boots on. But Georgia Tech is undefeated and Florida Sate is still #1 in the land.

I'd call it a push.
