The bowls should just be the football version of the NIT. That's what they are now, anyway.

NOOOOOOO!

The maximum number to any football playoff should just be 16.

There should be about 15. All the ones that start on December 31 or later (which is where the good teams get sent). Aside from the Holiday Bowl and maybe the Alamo bowl, scrap every other bowl game that starts before the 31. In place of those 2, scrap the GMAC bowl which takes place after New Years.

About the only thing Iowa accomplishes by winning the Little Ceasar's Pizza Bowl is some free pizza from little Ceaser for the post-game meal, maybe a trophy, and 2 weeks of extra practice time. When you add in the fact their opponent is the 2nd or 3rd place team from the MAC it doesn't accomplish very much for Iowa.

LOL 39 next year?? You're kidding, right?? What cities are these games going to be in.

Why do they need 1 in Boca Raton & Miami?? They're like 40 minutes from each other.

And what I hate even more is that these extra bowl games are going to be going to 5-7, 4-8, even 3-9 BCS conference teams while a good team like Louisiana tech last year that finished 9-3 and gets left out of a bowl game while a handful of crappy 6-6 BCS conference teams get in, and get embarrassed. Now I know realize LA tech got invited to a bowl and declined because they wanted to get a higher echelon bowl, but c'mon the team finished 9-3, and IIRC was ranked for at least a week last year. You have 70 slots to fill and the NCAA can't send a 9-3 non BCS team to a bowl game, a team that actually deserved a spot?? Give me a break.

I can't wait for this bowl at this rate:

"Playing in the Colgate whitening toothpaste who cares bowl 0-12 Wake Forest vs. 0-12 Rutgers."

You're joking. But at this rate, we could see that.

It will be the "Moral Victory Bowl"

Used to be you had to win a few games to get a bowl, it was the reward for outstanding play. Now it is a reward for having a .500 record.
And 7 EXPRESS is tight. Good teams associated with C-USA or Mountain West will get an offer to play in the Macdonalds's Big Mac bowl against a 4-8 SEC team, While Notre Dame and Penn State get New Years day bowls with a 5-5 record.

Hey at least my Alma Mater is on track to get a Bowl Bid this year.
Thing is they will have to stay as close to home as possible, maybe playing in the Helicopter Bowl or something because it would cost too much to rent buses to take them very far.

Yes, there are way too many Bowl Games, but somewhere it is making money for someone, especially cellar dwellers of the SEC or the PAC-24 who get to split the conference money from the bowl appearance without having to walk onto the field

I still want to see the Lemon Bowl , sponsored by Ford (played in Detroit)
Ex-Lax Toilet Bowl ( Played in FLint MI)
Campbell's Soup Bowl
and of course,
the Jesus Bowl, maybe Baylor could play against Brigham Young?
