for over a year Texas State has been working their very best to impress fans in the San Marcos area that they are the true FBS to support. look at them now, theyre 4-3 overall(1-2 sun belt), but still low attendance is making the program look bad. its time for San Marcos, parts of San Antonio and the surrounding areas to get hooked on Bobcat football. if Longhorn and Aggie football is all that matters, well it doesn't(unless youre an alumnus of either of those popular FBS schools). its about caring for the home team for your hometown. Texas State isn't a low level program, they are now FBS, u know what FBS means? that's high level brand of NCAA college football. I know theyre young, but regardless of that, its about supporting cause theyre in the FBS level now.

They have a very weak schedule. No one really wants to get excited about watching them play the schools that make up the majority of their schedule. The Sun Belt is a weak conference and until Texas State can move into a conference that actually matters than it will continue to have low attendance.

Just being an FBS school is not a big deal. You also have to be in a conference that actually matters before anyone will care.

ok, theyre not FBS Bowl Championship material like the major FBS schools like USC, Michigan, ND, Miami, Florida State etc, but regardless, theyre FBS. we have to support the home team.

Texas State finishes 7-5, but may not make it to a bowl. theres the Armed Forces Bowl(AAC vs TBD). but its gonna take a miracle for the bobcats to be selected for that bowl
