Yep. Not taking anything away from Clemson, but OSU suffers from being in a really down conference. In fact, MSU's victory over Stanford aside, I think it's subject to debate if the Big10 is a major conference anymore.

Big 10 is a top 5 conference at worse. Only so down it can go.

Outside of Michigan, Big Ten teams were very competitive in all of their bowl games and covered most spreads.

Not going to wade into the state of the Big 10 Conference. All I know is that I am very happy that this trophy will be on permanent display in Clemson SC !

Clemson's Orange Bowl winning coaches.


Frank Howard-Winner of the 1951 Orange Bowl.Coach 1940-1969. Elected to the College Football Hall of Fame 1989.



Danny Ford-Winner 1982 Orange Bowl and the 1981 National Championship. Coach 1978-1989.

LOL I hope someone does otherwise there are some very dried up oranges in the 1951 trophy. Seriously though the 2 older trophies that Clemson has look like they have the bowl filled with ceramic oranges.
