Some guy, obviously someone with waaaayyyy too much time on his hands and no girlfriend, did put together this useful website that shows the preseason rankings of all the major pubs and wire services.

"Memo to Florida State fans who want to jump in celebration of the 31-10 Discover Orange Bowl win against Northern Illinois: Don’t jump too high, you might hit your head on Florida State’s ceiling.

Because this is it. "

Didn't even give kudos to a team from the conference she is suppose to show support for... and on top of it had to eat her own damn words this year when Florida State took the championship.

ESPN finest at work.
ahahaha- great find! Here's one of my favorite comments on that article

I agree 100% with HD Florida State will never win a National Championship with Jimbo at the helm. teams who win follows the character of their coach. Jimbo is entirely to timid as a head coach (Bobby Bowden, Nick saban. Florida State got to 12-2 on talent, wants the recruits stop believing the Jimbo Fisher hype you'll see what this program is really made of.

Yep - last season's early preseason ranking had Texas playing for the crystal football.

Preseason polls are created to promote discussion (look it works!) and to draw attention to the source. They are obviously just predictions and nothing more. People who pay attention to these polls might as well believe in Miss Cleo and Nostradamus too.

They obviously had not fully understood Mack Brown's talent for doing so little with so much.

Yeh, we know what that's all about here in Sooner Nation too. For several years we've had to listen to Spencer Tillman's rants against OU/Big XII (even though he's a former Sooner runningback!) because he is employed by CBS sports. It is financially expedient for him to do so.

Same with ESPN's Dari Nowkah (OU grad). It's pretty obvious that he holds back and bites his tongue so as not to prop-up and celebrate anything positive going on with the Sooners. It would hurt the SEC Hype Machine's ratings...and consequently mean the pink slip for Dari.

Everybody has to watch their hindquarters at the risk of getting in trouble with the management/higher-ups of big bad ESPN.
