Hawaii has no chance against a powerful SEC team like Georgia, Hawaii hasn't faced a team nearly this good the whole year and there will be nothing Colt Brennan can do.

I usually like a good underdog story, but for some reason I am really looking forward to watching Georgia dismantle Hawaii.

I'm looking forward to it too. It'll finally silence all the "what about Hawaii??" talk! Too many people trying to make something out of Colt Brennan. I just hope the Dawgs don't hurt him too badly!

Really, I don't think LSU is undeserving at a shot at the national title. I just don't see them as any more deserving than Oklahoma and USC.

Could you imagine how excited fans would be right now if we were looking at LSU vs OSU and OU vs USC on a Saturday afternoon with the winners to meet for a REAL championship? I see revenues outproducing the AFC/NFC championsip/Superbowl weekends.
Great idea tnbound2day! I'd love to see OU vs. USC, especially!!!

Yup! If Hawai'i (notice the correct spelling!) beats Georgia, maybe it will end the Hawaii has no chance against a powerful SEC team like Georgia, Hawaii hasn't faced a team nearly this good the whole year and there will be nothing Colt Brennan can do. talk.

What about Arkansas beating LSU? There again, it was an overtime loss. What about USC's loss to lowly Stanford, the same team that got beat by Notre Dame and shameful games like Idaho, Notre Dame, Nebraska? What about Ohio State's loss to Illinois and their shameful games against teams like Youngstown, Minnesota, Kent State, etc?

LSU and the Luckeye game is as good as it gets.

So let's look at the Strength of Schedule stats to put that part to rest;

Ohio State: 44
LSU: 26
Virginia Tech; 5
Oklahoma: 37
Georgia: 21
West Virginia: 43
Hawai'i: 118
Missouri: 4
Kansas: 74 (gee, so maybe that's why they lost!)
USC: 75 (don't reward them for playing creampuffs!)
Florida: 8 (don't hear them whinning!)
Illinois: 10
Auburn: 24
USF: 16

So based on that, I could see Georgia and Missouri making a case, but Missouri blew it! So even though Oklahoma beat a number one team late, their strength of schedule and losses to CU and Texas Tech killed their chances. USC shouldn't even pipe up with a schedule like they had! They had a schedule that would rival Hawai'i's!

Boise was blowing people out last year. What seems to go unnoticed about Hawaii is that they have struggled with weak opponets on several occasions.

Yep, thats why they're called upsets. It happens; however, I think if OU played them 10 times, OU would win 9. Hawaii might pull an upset but if they played them consistently, they would lose out.

At least USC scheduled what should have been 2 very tough non conference games. They didn't know that Notre Dame and Nebraska would both crumble this year. Most teams go down to the bakery and pick up cupcake games as Lou Holtz said. USC tried to toughen their schedule. I have a hard time holding it against them that Notre Dame and Nebraske weren't as good as usual. Also Oregon finished unranked, but that was because of losing their starting qb for the last 3 games which they lost all of. USC beat them when they were 100%.

Not sure why I'm arguing for anyone because I have no college team that I favor. I just want to see something that looks legitimate that allows more than 2 teams a shot. Like I said, a Plus 1 is better than nothing. But it certainly would still leave plenty of potential flaws.
